Rob began playing music at school on a recorder and then clarinet but it wasn’t until his teens that he found his passion for the saxophone. Despite a fascination for tinkering with other instruments, his focus has remained with wind instruments.
Rob is known for his appearances as a saxophonist to Nick Heyward, the 80s pop icon of Haircut 100, performing at headline shows and 80s festivals throughout the UK. Rob has also been fortunate to play alongside some of the UK’s best jazz musicians (within the Pendulum Jazz Orchestra); Steve Waterman, Clark Tracey, Mark Lockheart and Guy Barker.
Sharply suited and booted, Rob captivates his audience with a backdrop of beautiful and relaxing music. His sweet, yet soulful tone has become a signature sound, setting him apart from other saxophonists, always tasteful and never overly indulgent.
