Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of dance music will know the name Seb Fontaine, the former BBC Radio 1 selector who secured international acclaim as the movement exploded in the 90s and 00's. As the genre matured, so too have the custodians that keep it vibrant, and as the scene and sounds have adapted since their genesis in the mid-eighties, so too has Fontaine tweaked his own formula, forever pushing forward new music and bringing dance-floor nirvana to legions of clubbers each and every lost weekend!
He is in more demand than ever before. Pre-pandemic saw him a frequent player on numerous festivals, including Wildwood Disco who asked Seb to curate his own stage. As the world opens up again he’s been a fixture for clubs such as Cream and Amnesia, not to mention his own Prototype party – named after his stellar Global underground compilation series. That killer ear for a groove remains undimmed after all these years making feet move across the globe.
